Renam HPP is the first cascade HPP planned on the main stream of the Maykha River. Its dam site is about 330 km from Myitkyina City. Its installed capacity is 1400 MW and average annual energy is 7,330 GWh. Its dam designed is a 159 m high concrete face rockfill dam. The reservoir has a normal pool level of EL1010m and a total storage of 1.14 billion cubic meters.
