Support the Development of Local Communities While Integrating into Them
— SPIC’s Donation to Road Construction in Shatapru District



On December 16, 2019, the church of Kachin Baptist Convention (KBC) was filled with joy, where the common people of Shatapru District sang Kachin songs and danced merrily. To further integrate into local communities and demonstrate the responsible corporate image, the State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) donated 13 million kyats for road construction to Shatapru District, Myitkyina, Kachin State.

At the donation ceremony, Ping Weiwei, Director of the Kachin State Representative Office said that, SPIC has been renting office buildings in Shatapru District for more than 10 years, and it has treated the locals not only as neighbors but also as relatives. Over the years, the company has been actively fulfilling its social responsibilities, integrating into local communities and offering assistance with their development, thus being highly praised by the locals.


U BumYun, Leader of Jinghpo ethnic group and U HkaLen ZawAung, District Mayor of Shatapru District repeatedly thanked the company for offering timely help in their speeches. They said that the locals are proud to have such a good neighbor, and the SPIC staff members are always there in time for every need in Kachin State.
